Our beautifully soft ivory Icelandic long-haired sheepskins have a longer wool length and are incredibly lovely and luxurious.
They have been naturally tanned in a British family-owned tannery with over 30 years experience and are 100% natural and not dyed.
A sheepskin is great accessory to have when camping or vamping. Sleep on them, sit on them, wrap them around you, put them over you in bed to keep warm and cosy. Also great to have in the house too!
To look after your sheepskin give your rug a good shake and brush every so often. Taking it outside for a hard shake will dislodge any dust and dirt that has built up in the fibres. If it starts to become matted, give the rug an occasional brush and the fur should stay in good condition. You can wash them in the machine on a low heat with non bio wool laundry liquid, but only do this if you have to.
Always leave your rug to dry naturally, away from direct sources of heat. If your rug is wet the best thing to do is stretch it out on a flat surface and leave it there. Do not leave it in the sun to dry. Too much heat on a wet sheepskin could cause the leather underside to harden or warp slightly.
If you love your sheepskin rug, it will love you back! We always use our sheepskins when camping and have had them for years.
